OCN Postnatal Maternity Award (MNT) - Level 3

This respected qualification provides those wanting to become a Maternity Nurse or those already working with babies an opportunity to further their skills. The Postnatal Maternity Care Award provides a comprehensive overview of the Maternity Nurses role through addressing all aspects of mother and newborn baby care, as well as the practical support and guidance required within the family home environment.

OCN Breastfeeding Skills & Infant Nutrition - Level 3
This accredited breastfeeding course is designed for anyone who wishes to deepen their knowledge of breastfeeding and for those wanting to support women who are breastfeeding. This informative 1 day course is suitable for those with little or no experience/knowledge of breastfeeding.

OCN Care of Multiples Course - Level 3

This course is designed for childcarers interested in or who are currently caring for twin/multiple babies. The course includes topics such as dizygotic twins and monozygotic twins, the impact on the birth order, establishing routines for multiples, sleep and multiples, organisation, establishing a successful feeding routine, including how to support a breastfeeding mother, individuality and support for families and carers.

OCN Sleep Course - Level 3

This course is for childcarers looking to specialise or gain additional knowledge in sleep training as part of their career or for those individuals working with a baby or child with a sleep problem. This course is accredited at level 3 through OCN.

Postnatal Depression (PND)- Advanced level tutorial

This advanced level tutorial is suitable for anyone working with post-natal mothers. The tutorial teaches candidates more about post-natal depression, including providing support for mothers who may be suffering with PND. Courses are facilitated by a highly experienced childcare specialist and trainer with expertise in this area.

Baby Massage

Babyem baby massage courses provides a warm and relaxing introduction to the basics of developmental infant massage. Training courses are suitable for parents and childcarers. The benefits of baby massage include: bonding; strengthens and regulates digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems; relieves symptoms of colic, gas and constipation; encourages restful sleep.

Paediatric First Aid Course

Paediatric First Aid Course

This 6 hour Paediatric First Aid is suitable for nannies, au pairs, maternity nurses and parents. The first aid course covers all the necessary requirements for registration on the Ofsted Voluntary Register. A Certificate will be issued on completion on the course which is valid for 3 years; as well as a First Aid booklet. The course takes place on Sunday's on a monthly basis. A sufficient command of the English language is needed to successfully pass this course.

Cost of Course : 85. Cost includes, assessment, certification, registration, all course materials and refreshments.
Assessed Course: Yes (Candidates will be assessed on their practical skills by the first aid trainer throughout the course and on successful completion will receive their certificate, valid for 3 years. There is no written assessment for this course).

Common Core Skills & Knowledge

OCN Common Core Skills & Knowledge Course - Level 3

In order to register on the Ofsted Voluntary Childcare Register childcarers are required to complete the Common Core Skills & Knowledge Training. Babyem provide the Common Core Skills & Knowledge Training accredited through OCN (Level 3), which meets the 6 common core skills areas required by Ofsted. Courses take place on the weekend in Central London (Distance learning option is available).

OCN Nanny Cooking Course - Introduction to food and nutrition for children and young people - Level 3

This accredited cooking course is suitable for nannies, domestic workers, housekeepers and aupairs wishing to become more confident and gain skills in preparing healthy food for babies, toddlers and children. Courses have been designed by a qualified nutritionist with extensive experience working with children and families privately, as well as with local authorities and charities throughout the UK.

CACHE Understand How To Set Up a Home-Based Childcare Service (CYPOP5)

Unit 1 of the Diploma in Home-based Childcare, Introduction to (Home-based) Childcare Practice (ICP), is the recommended introductory course for new and prospective childminders. This course is also suitable for un-qualified Nannies (and other home-based childcarers) wishing to register with Ofsted.

CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce

This full Level 3 qualification is suitable for those with a supervisory role in a school, nursery, preschool or childminding setting. The course replaces all previous qualifications such as NVQs etc (this includes nursery nurse training / nursery nurse qualifications among others).

Course structure: The Diploma has three pathways which are Early Learning and Childcare, Social Care and Learning, Development and Support Services.
Credit value: The total minimum credit value needed to achieve the qualification is 65. You will need to be working or volunteering in a setting and you must be over the age of 16 years.
Length of Course: You can usually complete the course within 1 year.
Areas of Delivery: Babyem have assessors and are able to support learners within South, South East, South West and The Midlands.
